More daily work.
This man is 92 years old. He bulit anti-aircraft guns in WWII, helped build the atomic clock, and so on...
Both he and his wife seem as healthy as ever. I couldn't help thinking about the fact that maybe the time, dedication, and precision he brought to his work carried over into his health. Our bodies are alot like clocks in the end I guess.

This is a jumping off point to a project I will be working on for the time I am in the land of Sprawl. I am going to focus on land transformation, culture and the lifestyle found in suburbs.

The war rages on in Fredericksburg.
What war would you think people were referring to when they say "The War?" The Iraq war and maybe World War II right?
Nope. The war of northern aggression is still "The War."
The most exciting thing about the cutting was the color of the ribbon...
A lumber supply company opened a new Bio-Mass Renewable Feul Operated Wood Drying Kiln, which was pretty amazing. They used the waste from their lumber plant to create energy in high temprature kilns.
The Chairman of the Board for the company began a diatribe about the evils of restricting the use of forest resources. Maybe he knew something I didn't, but that seems like a dangerous statement.

Gustavo Rodriguez, an employee at the Lamar Company, installs a billboard on U.S. Route 1. Rodriguez has been with the company for about four years. He replaced nine billboards on June 21, 2007.
"It's a hot one today huh?"
"Nah man. I'm Puerto Rican. I live for this weather."

So I made it across the piedmont.
I made the mistake of driving across the mountains, from Ohio to Virginia, in the middle of the night. The map I had made it out to seem as if it was a straight shot. It wasn't.
After nearly 6 hours of hair pin turns, fog and eerie little towns, I arrived safe and sound in Fredericksburg.
Oh feature hunting. I don't think there will much more of this but who knows.

My dad just bought a little sailboat to tool around in. He has always wanted one. He refuses to call it a mid-life crisis purchase.
But it sure is better than a Harley.

This is my buddy Paul. I photographed Paul for his new album release under the name of "Venegas." Paul has always been a talented, sensitive, and humble dude.
I grew up with him here in Cinci and we were in a few bands together. Him on drums and me on guitar. The more I catch up with the guy I realize that he is taking the path that I would most likely be taking if I had not of stubbled into my camera.
He said he "wants what I have." I realized I felt the same for him. The grass is greener.
I found comfort in realizing I might put down my little black box and still feel my life, just maybe through strings instead of lenses.

Music was blaring, specifically "YMCA" and people were dancing. They looked like they were having the time of their life.
The famous deaf twins were the flower girls at Matt and Melissa's wedding ceremony. Later, they were the life of the party at the reception.
